Clarity over guesswork
Making blocked pages easier to understand.
Practical explanations for the people who see a block—and the people responsible for reviewing it.
What this library is for
BlockedPage.com brings together guides on blocked-page messages, website block lists, domain matching, browser restrictions, and application-facing firewalls. The aim is to make an access decision easier to describe, investigate, and review.
The content is organized around three needs: understand the message, maintain the rule, and review the exception. Readers can start with a short topic guide or explore the longer articles in The Block Log.
What you will find
The library includes step-by-step diagnostic workflows, comparisons of common filtering layers, and guidance on evidence, ownership, and change review. The resources are downloadable reference files for use with an existing authorized process.
The policy preview uses fixed, fictional scenarios. It does not examine your browser, inspect network traffic, check a domain’s reputation, or change any access rule. The example files are not a current list of malicious websites.
An evidence-led approach
Technical claims are linked to primary sources where they are explained. Practical workflows are editorial suggestions that must be adapted to the actual system and organization. Product-specific behavior is not presented as a universal rule.
We distinguish an access-policy decision from a safety verdict, and an observation from a confirmed cause. Read our editorial policy for the approach to sources, corrections, and examples.
